Alexandra Peterken is a British contemporary artist based in Bristol, creating colourful, expressive paintings inspired by the beauty found in everyday life.

Her paintings begin with simple observations before evolving naturally on the canvas through layers of paint and experimentation. She enjoys building paintings slowly, allowing unexpected marks, textures and colour combinations to emerge along the way. 
 

Alongside her studio practice, Alex creates live paintings for weddings, events and brand collaborations, as well as delivering creative workshops that encourage others to explore their own creativity. Her previous clients include Adidas, The Macallan, TikTok and Remington, bringing her expressive approach to experiences that celebrate people and shared moments.
 

Originally graduating from Northumbria University with a degree in Fashion Design & Marketing, Alex's background continues to influence her understanding of colour, composition and materials. She has exhibited her work in London and across the UK while continuing to develop her painting practice and way of expression.
